In the highlights from LRK on the front page, the last bullet reads "a graphic illustration of the NAC-USA District's revenue and expenditures, in the interest of financial transparency."

The youth magazine "Spirit" from the Verlag Friedrich Bischoff has published a hypothetical prediction for the year 2031: if the statistics about Baptism are linear extrapolated, then the last 49 Baptisms will be held in 2031. Nota bene, if the trend continues as it is.

The statistics reveal another trend: An NAK congregation with 200 members has about one Baptism per year. In the Roman Catholic Church the number is 1.5, in the Lutheran church 1.7.

Would anyone know how the current financial crisis in the US could be affecting the investments of the NONAC? What about worldwide?

It seems to me that in the face of this financial adversity the church would want to shy away from such big expenses such as Freund's retirement/CAP visit in New York.

While I know these events were made out months and years in advance some financial responsibility common sense might seep its way into NONAC.
