The 4TH OF JULY

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the
Declaration of Independence?

Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before
they died.

Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.. Two lost their sons serving
in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.

Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the
Revolutionary
War....

Special thanks to Ben Franklin for getting Thomas Jefferson to replace the phase "sacred and undeniable" with "self-evident" and replacing a somewhat religous term with a rational one. It also sounds better.

Now if only those within the NAC could echo the same sentiment when it comes to doing the right thing. Where would we be today if the Loyalists had managed to convince the Patriots it was in their best interest to maintain the status quo and not make waves with the king...where would we be indeed...
