Posts: 32 12/08/2007 15:48	Tags : None Hi All, In case you have not yet read the new NAC paper The way to salvation ordained by Jesus Christ for our time here is the link: www.nak.org/fileadmin/dow...ersion.pdf Statement number five reads as follows, Dispensing of Holy Sealing and Holy Communion as well as forgiveness of sins is bound to the Apostles ministry. Did they just expand their Doctrine of exclusivity to now include Holy Communion? Are they now saying that all other Christian denominations are undeserving of, or pointlessly partaking of Holy Communion with Christ when they celebrate, lets say.the Eucharist? Does anyone have a clue? Looking forward to the future, QFTNAC

Posts: 192 12/08/2007 19:34	It has been decades for me, but I don't think this is an extension. I think this is an "always has been." As I recall, the only communion wafer worth anything was an NAC one. If you took communion in another church, it had no effect, because only an apostle can loose one's sins on earth and only NAC has apostles. Nor would there be an effect on a Catholic who took communion in an NAC service, if that person did not accept the apostles' doctrine and had not been "sealed." I think it was always "exclusionary." As I say, it's been a long time for me, but this doesn't sound new.

Posts: 1116 12/08/2007 22:16 Devoted NAC Apologist	Article 4: I believe that the Lord Jesus rules His church through living apostles until His return, and that He has sent them into the world and still sends them with the commission to teach, to forgive sins in His name and to baptize with water and the Holy Spirit. Please note the "I believe" you may believe whatever you choose. Call my reasoning wrong or even crazy if you wish, it is what I choose to believe.

So you see Myule, partaking of Communion does not forgive your sins, the words prior to the act of communion does.

Posts: 192 12/09/2007 12:32	Sins were forgiven by Christ's death on the cross. He paid the penalty. Communion is done "in remembrance" of his sacrifice. No apostle or cardinal or pope or priest has the power to forgive something already forgiven. Christ Himself did that.

Here's one for y'all, the CAC Liturgy provides for the absolution, that gets one line (preparing for the Eucharist) The celebration of the Holy Eucharist has quite the pageantry and ceremony involved. The NAC Liturgy of the 1930's clearly has an absolution, and consecration of the creature, under the heading Holy Communion (see page 8 or so) Link found in this indeNACBoard - History links They are distinct acts. Myule, please provide proper citation to support your statements if they indeed are NAC doctrine. Unfortuneately, I doubt you will. Doubly unfortunate, I doubt that I can find NAC statements that clearly delineate the two, but I will try.

Seems like someone is being a bit stingy when it comes to who is allowed to forgive sins, maybe the Big Guy needs to find a new distribution channel.

Posts: 1163 12/09/2007 19:31 Amateur Firstling	hey, people... good basic confirmation class type topic here... i went digging into my stockpile of NAC-stuff and flipped through the following: "House Rules and Creed for members of the NAC" 1969 "House Rules for the members of the NAC" 1998 "Testimony of the NAC" 1974 "The Future of the Firstlings" 1990 "Questions and Answers concerning the New Apostolic Faith" 1976 "Invitation to the First Resurrection and the Kingdom of Peace" 1992 these NAC "mini-pocket-tomes" indicate that the valid exercise of forgiveness of sins and its ritualistic surrogate, holy communion, are the exclusive domain of our NAC apostles, as they are the one & only extention of the activity of the original apostles... there is, however, a proviso whereby those in eternity can access this sacriment..., but unless you're living during the period of apostles, yer outta luck..., sorry silly rabbit..., tricks are for kids.... holy communion is preceded by the absolution.... that (the absolution ) is the announcement of grace and forgiveness, period. tangential incidental note..., that little pocket-rocket "Testimony of the NAC" 1974, p.10 explains why all ye believers out there clinging to your bible, are just spinning your wheels...
