Apparently, Freund's last transmission service prior to his retirement. Does anyone know who's on the official guest list? Based on Freund's past utilization of transmission services to make grand announcements... do you think he'll take this opportunity to announce who his successor will be in order that EVERYONE hears the news at the same time? (He did say in a transmission service earlier this year that the announcement would be made in July or August.) What are the costs associated with a transmission service? Remind me again of the amount that Freund donated to the Red Cross for China Earthquake victims.... in contrast to the budget he authorized for this "special" weekend??????? disgraceful.

Just so everyone is aware - this service is the 2008 USA Youth Day service, which was already going to be transmitted to 4 other regional sites around the country where the young people will be gathering.

I believe some are also being housed in the dorms at the university, where the event is going to take place. As a Left Coaster yourself, you know the cost of everything out here, so I can imagine that the budget for this event dwarfs the one for the earthquake victims. Ironic twist: This event is taking place right in the middle of earthquake country... Now, get with the program!
