Welcome new user or maybe long-time user considering whether or not to register.
First off, if you are brand new here, be prepared, there are many viewpoints and some express very strong opinions. My advice is to cultivate a thicker skin, try not to take these opinions personally, and be a little selective. If someone's opinions really set you off, try and skip those posts and move on to other posts that interest you more. Alternatively, you could select the "Interact" link in the lefthand column under the poster's name, and select "Ignore User's Posts" in order to ignore their posts forever.
REGISTERING:
Registering is free and allows you to post comments. Registering merely involves filling in some forms, and you can be as honest or creative
as you want. Creativity lets you be more anonymous, if that's what you are
worried about. We, as administrators, only see the registration info that you choose to make available for public display. In any case, we treat any
confidential information we obtain either via the board or e-mail in exactly that way, as confidential information.
BOARD CHANGES:
If you are registered (another reason to register
) and log in,
make use of the "Mark Forums Read" or "Mark ALL Forums Read", this clears all the marks in the left hand column. Then when you come back
later, all the forums with marks in the left column have new posts, since your previous visit. I hope this helps make it easier to deal with the changes
we've implemented.
Edited to fix emotes, formatting, and to add info about new "Ignore" feature.
