Steve stood up for what he believed was right, and held the church accountable for wrongs committed against him and his family, and the church was forced to make formal apologies.
On the Service Discussion forum, deaconess posted an excerpt from DA Kraus' retirement service. CA Leber, a DA at the time, said the following of DA Kraus :
Quote:
I am witness that he always looked up to the Chief Apostle. I remember that I have once seen him when we visited somebody who was sick in the hospital and then he prayed, I now lay my hands into the hands of the Chief Apostle, right over the ocean. And these words have impressed my soul.
While this might be true regarding CA Fehr, we all know that DA Kraus held CA Urwyler in contempt and that he claims God heard his prayers when CA Urwyler had his heart attack. He also forced other ministers to choose between him and the CA.

Subject: Thank-you! How are you!
Dear Brenda:
I hope your doing well, its been a while since we communicated and from time to time I check the board ,as I did today and felt compelled to write to you.
When I noticed that someone had commented on the thread concerning "Steve Pathmann" I went to check it out. I re-read the postings of this thread, for I haven't in quite awhile. Sometimes looking back is painful.Yet I noticed how honest and forthright you were towards me and my situation over the years. Things I told you in confidence that you could of used numerous times to defend or prove your point of view, you didn't use honoring your word of years ago to me. I thank-you for being what you are! Someone with character and honesty.
In the churches "2007 Yearbook" printed by the Verlag is an article by the District Apostle Nadolny(from Russia),there he states"Never talk about your faith without being asked, but live in such a manner that people ask",he expounds upon and clarifies this statement, but having never had the privilege of personally meeting you ,you remind me of one having just such Christ-like character .I want to thank-you for always seeing when someone would post something (good or bad)about me you defended the truth, that's all I ask of anyone. You are one its an honor to call "my sister in faith".
I might not agree with the direction some take with their threads or postings on the board, but I do believe that most are prompted out of their "Love for Christ" and perhaps their disappointment in those who should be the greatest examples of such love & teachings ,simply settling for whats easiest and convieniant for themselves and forgetting the overall purpose of their calling and the fact that as Christ and was our example that the greatest of all was the "servant"to all,not a master.
I hope that personally your doing well and happy .I read your coming to the States and it would be great if we could finally meet .I have close to 100 cassette tapes that the former Apostle Arie Boer sent me over the years(personal conversations where he'd open up and talk on tape to me because he had Parkinson disease and couldn't write as I once told you),we'd also talk on the phone every week or so too,He was truly a great "Servant".They're so precious and deep I think you'd really enjoy them .I think your board members would enjoy some of there content as well. Were all souls seeking our Savior and although some use one language, some another(methods so to speak) the desire & ultimate goal is the same, our God given souls seek his ways in the light He gives us to seek it best.I know your hearts in the right place(not that it matters what I think)and although it may not always seem like the Lords immediately there when we think he should be,as the Chief Apostle Urwyler told me once when we were alone together "The eye of the Lord see's everything".Your not alone ,you have more with you than you realise!Remember the saying that "attitude is the aroma of the soul"and you have a good attitude...Im sorry if this which was to be a short note became a long letter, but as I said it's been awhile. You take care of yourself and remember your not alone!
Your Friend
Steve
PS I don't care if you want to share this letter with someone, anyone for that matter,I don't care about that kind of thing anymore."
